ADHD Computer Screenings can be scheduled as soon as 1-2 weeks
Specializing in specific evaluations for ADHD using evidence-based methods for ages 6+
Vann Counseling & Consulting is one of the few providers in Florida and Georgia providing ADHD Diagnostic Evaluations and Screenings utilizing QbCheck computerized testing via Telehealth for a better view of ADHD.
There is no single test to diagnose ADHD. Therefore, a comprehensive evaluation is necessary to establish a diagnosis, rule out other causes, and determine the presence or absence of co-existing conditions. We have intentionally chosen specific assessments for their neurodiversity affirming, non-pathologizing approach to understanding, assessing and describing ADHD and the the core executive functioning pieces that are often present. Additionally, we utilize standardized behavior rating scales from the client, parents/caregivers, teachers and other collateral sources to further inform the evaluation.
QbCheck is an FDA cleared and widely used objective test that measures core ADHD symptoms: activity, attention and impulsivity. QbCheck provides objective data about motion and attention states that separates ADHD clients from non-ADHD clients. Objective testing can be an important part of the diagnostic triangle which also includes a thorough clinical interview and rating scales. This test can now be done via telehealth on your own computer using facial recognition technology. Furthermore, the QbCheck can be performed repeatedly, comparing a client’s performance after taking a certain medication or dosage of medication against the baseline test or subsequent test(s).
While Continuous Performance Tests like the QbCheck are not diagnostic (and not always necessary for diagnosis), they do help give us a clearer picture of what someone's ADHD symptoms might look like particularly for clients with more classically inattentive presentations that may be more difficult to assess, clients with co-occurring diagnoses such as anxiety or trauma, or for minority populations that are historically underrepresented.

This option is best for those seeking to further their own understanding of their neurotype or for those seeking screening at the request of their prescriber. This option is not likely to be sufficient for those seeking accommodations for academic or testing purposes.
A brief summary letter and your QbCheck results will be provided to both you and to your provider as well as a 30 min follow-up appointment to discuss your results.
This option is best for those with an existing ADHD diagnosis who are navigating medication optimization and symptom management.
QbCheck is the only device cleared by the FDA to monitor how a patient is responding to treatment, which can aid in your clinician’s ability to monitor and track your response over time.

The ADHD Diagnostic Evaluation ($550) that results in a formal ADHD diagnosis using DSM-5 criteria is sufficient documentation to seek necessary and appropriate accommodations under the law for ADHD for both educational settings and for high stakes testing. We have confirmed with the following testing providers: College Board (AP, PSAT, SAT), ETS (GRE, TOEFL, PRAXIS), GMAT, & MCAT
The evaluation alone is not sufficient for LSAT accommodations which requires the Qualified Professional Form to also be completed at an additional cost.
Note that meeting diagnostic criteria for a particular disorder does not necessarily mean that the individual will be found to be disabled for the purpose of needing or being eligible to receive testing accommodations
Computer Screening alone is not sufficient for these purposes.
ADHD can be diagnosed by psychologists, neurologists, nurse practitioners, therapists/counselors, and medical doctors, as long as it is within their scope of practice. In the states of Florida & Georgia, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapists are qualified to engage in assessment and provide a diagnosis.
If you are getting an evaluation for a specific purpose (i.e., workplace accommodation, school support, a referral from your doctor, etc.), check with them to see if they have specific requirements as to who they prefer to diagnose you.
Comprehensive Evaluations can typically be completed within 2-4 weeks from first contact depending on how quickly you're able to get the paperwork and behavior rating scales completed.
Computer Screenings can typically be completed within 1-2 weeks.
Times may vary depending on current scheduling availability.
That's a great question for your insurance company! Typically insurance does not cover evaluations for ADHD.
No. However, we can help get you connected to our amazing network of prescribers (Pediatricians, Primary Care Physicians, APRNs, and Psychiatrists) as well as other allied health professionals.
ADHD Evaluations are not to be used in the place of a complete psychological or neuropsychological testing for diagnosing learning disabilities, autism, brain injury, personality disorders, or some other mental health diagnoses.
In the event that we determine a more comprehensive psychological evaluation or testing is necessary we will do our best to refer you to the appropriate providers in your area.
